Operating System Recommendations
For this assignment my group and I were tasked with reviewing a few major server operating systems and deciding which one would be best for a fictional medical facility to use. We had to evaluate the offerings from Microsoft, Red Hat, Novell, Sun Microsystems and Apple.
We had to learn the pros and cons of each operating system and make an informed decision on which to run on their servers. This was a large undertaking since there is a lot to learn about each individual operating system before you can make a wise decision on which one to use so we had to do lots of research before were in a position to decide.
Below is the document we came up with that describes our reason for using one system over another. The report also includes all the specifications of each operating system.
